No, "back door" isn't code for anything. Here, I'm alluding to the period in which you know a person where you don't know whether you should wait at the front door and be invited in, or open the back door and yell for the person, then come in when they answer you.
And here is Dorothy, the third main character. In the original of this strip, she came in joking about a chemistry convention she went to, to find Edgar dangling from the ceiling. I changed it because A) I changed the previous comic and B) I changed Dot's job from experimental chemist to pharmacist.
Also, this is the last Saturday strip. I switched to 2 strips per week to work on the site and have more time for schoolwork. |
